Great home cooking. A great place.

We always enjoy eating at the green frog restaurant. Selections can be made from a menu or the All You Can Eat buffet for $10 a person including drink & dessert. Food isn't fancy, but it is plentiful.

Pleasant surprise! Sunday lunch, the fried chicken on the buffet looked amazing, but we opted for burgers and fries. Delicious, fresh patty, and soft, fresh buns! Super friendly service, we’ll be back again when passing through town.

So my uncle visited this place 51 years ago. Said it was a good place to eat. Welp, I was out this way with the same uncle who's is turning 80 this year... The place is still here and still good. I ate about 4000 calories of food... Yes, it was that good.

Not expensive for the quality at all! They could totally charge more for the fried steaks ALONE! Best small town cooken I have had in awhile! Highly recommend this place! Was our first time here and not disappointed in the least!

Stopped here for breakfast as I was passing through. Wonderful food and great friendly service. Teresa was my waitress. I highly recommend if you're in the area.

This place is the heaven of home cooking. The buffet style food is amazing! And the workers are so sweet. I look forward to come to this restaurant. This rating is 11 / 10 stars. I recommend coming to this restaurant because of the friendly staff, amazing food, and desserts to die for. The drinks are constantly being refilled and the rolls are handed out off the bat. Best home cooking by far. Our family wishes this restaurant was closer! You must try this heavenly place!

Home style restaurant with a great buffet. I used to stop here in the seventies and it is just as good now as then. My visit brought back some really good memories from the past.

Great food, great staff and the owner Sarah is right there taking care of customers with a smile. Family friendly. People come from everywhere to drop in on this historic restaurant. I think it's been open since 1928.

Great service and pretty good food. Tables and restroom were clean. Nice place to stop if you're in the area or headed through town.

Just had breakfast this morning at the Green Frog and they delivered a nice full breakfast just as we ordered it. Two loaded breakfast plates and two orange juices for a total price of $15. We had lunch on Sunday and it was another fine buffet. Some say the pricing is high on the buffet, but I say "try stocking a buffet these days with all the trimmings and see how you like it" . We eat there regularly and always enjoy it. They have remodeled in recent years and the place is looking great. Green Frog Restaurant is a great place to get hometown cooking and service while enjoying the diner atmosphere.

Options are limited in Jacksboro. You have Green Frog, The Village Kitchen and Dairyland in terms of diners. The frog isn't what it used to be when I was a kid, service is pretty terrible, the food is barely just this side of edible and my feet stick to the floor. As long as you don't have very high expectations you shouldn't be too disappointed.

Really good chicken fried steak for breakfast. Tender! On the other hand, the kitchen is unable to deliver "soft scrambled" eggs ;)

Food is buffet style and selection is small. It tastes just ok. But here is the kicker. When I came in the waitress told me to sit anywhere so I kicked a table and put my stuff down to visit the food bar. When I come back the waitress is moving me to another table to accommodate several men who are obvious regulars. Sorry. Won't be back for that treatment.

Great rolls and they even accommodated my celiac daughter. Thanks the food was awesome.

We have been to the Green Frog several times and are never disappointed. They serve excellent homemade comfort food (menu or buffet), at a very reasonable price, which always comes out hot and fresh. The staff is friendly / attentive and the restaurant stays clean and neat. It has quickly become a favorite of ours since moving into the area.

Had breakfast there today and the Sweetest lady was my waitress. I think her name is Emma. She is the best! Definitely will come back to eat when I'm in Jacksboro, TX.

Great place, big truck parking too. Reminds me of eating at home or in my grandmother's kitchen. Trucker friendly. Highly recomend.

The wife and I stopped here for brunch, it was good. However, after seeing the fried chicken they brought out on the lunch buffet we wished we had dinner lunch instead.

The service is quick and the buffet line is clean. The food? Out freaking standing. Everything i had there was wonderful. I want the recipe for the Jalapeno popper casserole. If you like a little spicy that is outstanding. If you are ever passing through Jacksboro Tx it is a great place to eat.

Stopped in while passing through for some omelets and they were great. Friendly service also. They were setting up a buffet and I bet it's good too. The bathroom needed a good floor scrub, but overall we would stop in again.

Had the buffet. All home cooking. Fried fish, chicken fries, salad bar. It was all amazing! We will definitely be back when we're passing through!
